The Mandala Family is Growing!

The Mandala Family is Growing!

Gosh its been a long time since I left a blog post here! We have pretty much upgraded everything at Mandala: the house, the gardens, the bathrooms, the kitchen and the olive press yoga shala have all been renovated and taken to the next level.... In addition to that

We’ve all had a crazy few years haven’t we?!

At Mandala we have been especially grateful to all of you who still found a way to travel and stay with us amidst all the uncertainty of late. Somehow we have stayed strong and we have soo much enjoyed our connection with you and all the other guests who have graced us with their presence since we opened in 2018.

This year looks set to be a year like no other for us as we have just welcomed the arrival of gorgeous little Angelina Ananda Heath born on January 22nd after a lightning fast 4 1/2 hour labour (phew!!). She was born into a water pool, on Corfu, in a cottage surrounded by loving friends. Rafael has been a dream big brother and we are all soo blissfully happy with her arrival.

(For those of you who stayed while I was pregnant and saw me staggering around like a zombie! I am much better now- and one look at Angelina and Rafael and I know it was all worth it :)

The growth of our family means big (hopefully temporary) changes to the way we will run things this year. Our new family of 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats (yes- we are like Noah’s ark and do everything in 2’s now!) is now too big to fit in one of our studios, so we have taken back the main house and will not be renting Shiva, Shakti, Aum or Gayatri for the foreseeable future this year.

Instead we are renting out Namaste and Laxmi Studios - see here to check out our lovely, spacious, self contained studios:

I hope to get back into teaching yoga and mantras later this year… and to maybe host some retreats…. But for now I stay in my baby bubble! This will probably happen later in the season :)

Our new vision includes the hopes that we can find another plot of land nearby to move our family home to (and all the chaos of our children and animals) and let Villa Mandala get back to doing what she does best:

Hosting amazing holidays and retreats for beautiful people like you.

We are very blessed to have some investment on the horizon that will hopefully allow us to bring all this into being later this year…. but in keeping with the theme of the last few years nothing is 100% certain. If you have ever dreamed of owning a place like mandala then feel free to get in touch…you never know!

We hope you have enjoyed this little update from our family and send you lots and lots of love,

Sacha, Ben, Rafael and Angelina

Spring is here!

Hello Beautiful People,        Spring is in full flow here on the island and we are busy at Mandala completing everything and getting all the finishing touches in place for a new season.       Ben and I actually started our journey to Corfu this time last year  (4th March) and it is incredible to see the changes both in Villa Mandala and within Ben and I. We arrived here excited... but more then a little scared and now almost a full year on life looks very different.    We have learned a fair amount about how life works here, our business has taken off and we have made soo many incredible friends.  It no longer feels like everything is Shiva energy (endings) and Brahma energy (beginnings).... OK there is still a lot of that!  But there is also a little Vishnu energy (maintenance)  to balance things out now.     We have found stability in our yoga routine, in our lunches in the afternoon sunshine, in our dog walks at the beach, and in the flow we have found here at

Dealing with the unknown

Ben on the jetty at Arillas beach When we decided to move to Corfu I was envisioning a quiet life of  teaching yoga and meditation, of pottering around the garden, of doing lots of music and spending long lazy days on Arillas beach.    I dreamed of a simpler and more relaxing life (...not that my life was terribly frantic before but there is always room for improvement isn't there?!).      Ben dreamed of having more time in his shed playing with his lathe. Three weeks into life here and the penny has dropped that our dreams are a long way off!   Ben's lathe is still in pieces and I'm covered in paint and dust from morning til night, working and working to  uncover all the beauty in Mandala for our soon to arrive guests. Ben and I steal  glimpses of relaxation everyday in between the DIY marathons and thankfully we almost there with the work now :)     But the uncertainty we face is massive and I am realising that the only real way for me to feel truly secure r
